Hey everyone! After many months of work I am excited to release the new FMH panel overhaul! This is really exciting as many new features have been introduced. Most notably our monthly subscription model! Here's a rundown:
Monthly subscriptions
Currently there is one tier available called the Iron Tier. This allows users to automatically get 4500 total coins deposited into their account monthly, 10% more coins when watching ads or purchasing coins. You can create up to two servers at once, you get dedicated support via live chat and ticketing, you also get a sweeeet custom Discord role too! This tier was designed just for people who need extra dedicated support, want to support a free host, and/or want a boost in coins with their server. This plan costs $3.99 a month.
More plans will be available in the coming months with gold and diamond tiers. In these tiers we are planning of having perks such as removing ads from the dashboard, more coins rewarded monthly, better support options (e.g. by phone), more coins when purchasing coins or watching ads, fully custom server stats, bonuses, early access to features, prolonged server deletion time, and some more. Please note that these are subject to change though and we may end up changing a few things before we roll out the next tiers.
Dedicated Support
Currently we provide community support in our Discord. Users can create public tickets and both staff members and volunteer community members can respond. Usually this form of support is slower and less direct. We also won't do things like setup a server for you or configure and install plugins. With our dedicated support we got you! If you are encountering any issues you can directly talk to a member of the staff team using our built in live chatting function on the site (if you have a subscription) and will be glad to help you setup and configure anything you need. Chatting hours are (almost) 24/7.
How about free users?
Free Minecraft Host is and always will be a free platform. That being said core features such as creating 2,4,6,8gb servers, managing them, community support, etc will always and forever be free. We will never take away any features that currently exist for free users and lock it behind a paywall. Free Minecraft Host gets most of its revenue from people who buy coins, this is how we keep the service up. By purchasing FMH+ you don't just gets the perks but you also support this 100% free project that we work on in our free time, you help pay and support the development of our platform and our servers (they really arent cheap!). That being said we are always and forever be committed to 100% free Minecraft servers. Our primary focus is still our free users. It will forever be our free users.
Overhauled notification system
You will now be sent a notification for important announcements, such as this one and minor updates such as if someone gifted you coins. More to come soon.
Access code
This is mainly a work in progress feature. Access codes will be used to help verify your account ownership and authenticate 3rd party apps in the future. Currently, you may be asked for the code when contacting support. This code is very sensitive and in the future may allow 3rd parties to gain unauthorized access to your account. So please make sure to only share this with FMH staff and to never share this with anyone other than FMH staff. Codes are valid for only one day before they expire, this is to prevent abuse.
Connect your Discord!
If you click on your account profile at the top right corner, then go to connections, you will be able to connect your Discord and earn a bonus of 500 FMH coins and also a neat role in our Discord. FMH+ users get an even cooler role.
Make public button
This is a work in progress feature. Currently it doesn't do anything but we will release something really, really cool within the next few weeks so be sure to join our Discord and keep your eyes peeled!
New bug/feature suggestion form
We have created a new way for our users to report a bug and suggest a feature! https://forms.silvereen.net/fmh-suggestion
This form allows you to go through a easy flow while we see your bug and suggestion almost immediately after submission.
Server optimizations
A few weeks ago we released a patch which significantly reduced the load on our servers. When there are no players in your server, the server will enter a "hibernation" or "sleep" type state where it will pretty much use no resources at all. It does this by intentionally lowering the TPS from 20 to around 5 or less. This is why you may get that "Server is overloaded" message when nobody is online. This is intentional and just means the hibernation plugin is active. Your server will go back to normal operation when a player joins.
That pretty much sums up the core of what we've been up to these past months. Of course there are other less important things too. Just because this update is released we are still vigorously working on new features and suggestions to be implemented on our platform.
