Introduction
How to change your world seed on FMH!
Stop the Server:
- Before making any changes, ensure the server is stopped. Click the "Stop" button on your server’s dashboard.
Locate the World Files:
- In the file manager, navigate to the directory where your world files are stored. This is typically in the
/world, /world_nether, and /world_the_end folders.
Delete the Existing World Files:
- Select the
/world, /world_nether, and /world_the_end folders.
- Delete these folders by clicking the delete button or selecting "Delete" from the right-click context menu.

- Set Your Custom Seed:
- Go back to your server’s settings or configuration files.
- Locate the
server.properties file.

- Open
server.properties and find the line that says level-seed=. (Line 27)
- Enter your desired custom seed after
level-seed=. If you don’t have a seed in mind, you can leave this blank to generate a random world.

- Restart the Server:
- Save your changes to the
server.properties file.
- Go back to the dashboard and click "Start" to launch your server with the new seed.
- A new world will be generated using the custom seed you've entered.
