Usually, this is not an issue with us, unless on your dashboard you are seeing 100% or close to using all resources of your server up. If this is the case, you may need to contact us to look into upgrading your plan in our Discord. You can also check your ping by hovering over the network icon on the main server page of your Minecraft client, more than 300ms and you can feel it.
I have personally tested the servers, applying a 400-500ms latency, meaning it takes almost half a second to get to the server and back. The blocks had a slight lag but broke well, and the chunks loaded fine. Ping is usually not the issue when it comes to Minecraft servers. It is usually your home network's reliability that is the issue. Here are a few things to ask yourself.
- Am I using a wired connection or Wifi?
- Do I have a Cable, Fiber, or 5G connection?
- What are my internet speeds?
These are key questions when figuring out the problem. A wired Ethernet connection will ALWAYS be better than an unstable wifi connection, there's a lot of science that goes into it, but basically "wifi bad". Again, a wired connection from your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is better than a radio wave like Starlink or 5G Gateway. Weather greatly affects the performance of your internet speeds when using wireless methods, but does not affect wired as it is sheathed. Internet speeds also may play an important role, Minecraft should have at least 5/5 up/download to play comfortably without any lag, when you have less, your packets get dropped and it becomes a bottleneck causing lag. This ties into 2 as if you are using a wireless method to reach your ISP's network, your internet may become very slow at some times.
